PHILLY TYPEWRITER POP UP OPEN MIC JAN 25

Tomorrow January 25th at 6:00pm SCRIBES is holding a pop-up open mic at Philly Typewriter in South Philadelphia at 1735 E Passyunk Ave.

The event will begin at 6PM & is hosted by the newest member of the SCRIBES fold, cr hooker. cr hooker is a nonbinary poet and painter born and raised in the unforgiving heat of the southwest. They currently call Philadelphia home. cr graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Creative Writing and a BA in Film & Television studies. They can often be found playing with their cat or covered in paint.

The event is an open reading for poets & spoken word artists. Performers have 5 minutes to rip a poem on the mic.

SCRIBES rules are standard as always — don’t distract readers, don’t be an asshole, read something fucking crazy. I would love to hear some shrieks.
