Backstreet’s back all right! SCRIBES returns triumphantly after the feature of our photographer, c.r. hooker, & their close friend & well respected badass Arizonian trans poet, atlas st. cloud. Happy birthday cait (birthday on the 7th) + NDR (bday on the 8th). Virgo season baby!

Back to it. Back at it again with the white vans, I’ll once again be hosting this month’s SCRIBES! Many changes happening behind the scenes so stay tuned. Side eye emoji.

south philly and the sky is always black

spitting tooth by tooth count south philly

you are the music box the fibonacci spiral

the piece of floss extracting blood from gums

south philly and the kids landlocked like mold

spores in hoagies in the gutter the back

alleys unfinished basements south philly

children run the block to tell of fireworks

bought in Delaware County. South Philly

I escaped my overdosing brother

for you only

to meet a man

passed out on the floor covered in shit

gnats eating his dick and his ass this is why

I cannot bear myself

to write about the ocean

I was uprooted by the concrete

warehouses sitting folded

in the shower knees burning from the handle

turned all the way left

I am dirty my dirt is running down the drain

SCRIBES takes place this month on Sunday, September 28, 6PM doors 7PM show as always. There will be an open reading for poets to sign up & read something.
